7800 GT DualStrengths: The 7800 GT Dual is like having 2 video cards in one. If you buy two of these, you essentially have 4 video cards. Weakness: Having Two would cost about $1700. You could build a nice computer for that much. Two video cards can increase your preformance by 50-60%, but having 4 video cards of 2 increases only by about 20-25% If you are rich or have 1700$ and are an uber gamer then go ahead and buy two of these. If you like to run resolutions above 1600x1200, then having 4 video cards would help tremendosly. Otherwise, its just too expensive for the rest of us. 40% of readers found this review helpful. Very Extreme
Strengths: 2 High end GPUs on one card, saves other pci express slot for something else (another graphics card...), very fast and quiet, better than xbox360, Comes with Call of Duty 2
Weakness: Tricky installation, Huge size , maybe price
Overall this card is very nice. Plays games very smoothly. I decided to get this because for about the same price of getting 2x 7800 gt cards for sli, this card already has it set up for you. It leaves you room for upgrades later.
The only drawback maybe its size. It barely fit in my Asus Vento case. It doesn't leave room for anything else. But then again maybe that's all you need.
Installation was a good puzzle. FIRST THING to do is make sure the fan wires on the card doesn't rub against the fan blades. That happened to me when I first installed it. It started making extremely loud whining noises. I thought I had a faulty fan. It sliced through the insulation on the fan wires. The installation manuals weren't really any help.
I ended up with left over parts, a dual gpu switch card. It doesn't tell you what to do with it or where it goes. I guess it is for intel motherboards.
In the end I say it is very worth it. It just eats up games without any signs of letting up. It makes you want to buy every game just to see how it runs.
Extreme performance, Extreme Price, Extreme size, and It makes your computer Extreme.

Why would you compare it to the Xbox 360? It costs twice as much for this video card alone and uhhh you need to buy the rest of your components.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to put down the xbox360! I'm just saying it is good, just as good, or better. You can do more with this card is all. Run games at higher resolutions with smooth framerate. Yes this card is very expensive and you need other expensive hardware to go with it, but the xbox360 can get expensive too. Like $800-$2000+ for a HDTV to play at high resolutions, HD cables, hard drive, Audio System, Speakers, internet cable connection,$59.99 games.

understandable but I still think any cost the 360 could have is marginal compared to the computer. I personally have a pretty decent system (Geforce 6800 3.2Ghz) but I wouldnt spend 800 on a video card. That's just way too much. As for the HDTV I just bought a LCD HDTV so it doubles as a monitor and a HDTV so my PC and 360 are both happy. It's really something at 37" ;)

What is your 3DMark06 score? I got one but i think she does not work like a two gpu's video card 3dmark score is realy low.
May 15, 2006
I downloaded the 3dmark demo and it only gave me a
SM2.0 score of 1673
I used F.E.A.R. in game performance test and it says i had a max frame rate of 85 and averaged above 40 90% of the time i think with at least 30 fps all the time. It seems about right.
I know what you're saying in the video config it only shows it having one video card and 1 gpu.
