Great video card.

Strengths: No problems. Easy installation. Great fan/heatsink design.

Weakness: Requires 4-pin connector (Not a weakness if you have enough power for it).

Got it sent by zipzoomfly.com in great packaging. Box says it requires 350W, but I ordered a Powerstream 550W anyways.

Fits a bit tight, but I have a stock HP micro-atx case. It's just about half an inch from my south bridge.

Benchmarked it on the first day without any changes:
PCMarks03: 3980
3dMarks: 3219
Was pretty low compared to the other 6800GTs I've found, but I'll retest it after a bit of burn-in.

System:
Micro ATX HP Pavilion a550e
ASUS K8N8V-LA nVIDIA nForce3 150 Skt754
Generic Samsung 2x512 DDR PC3200
AMD Athlon64 3400+ @2192mhz
Maxtor 250GB 7200rpm Ultra DMA
eVGA nVIDIA GeForce AGP8x 6800GT 256MB
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
OCZ PowerStream 520

Great and Awesome Card

Strengths: This is the one......for now. It plays extreme with most of the new PC Games and it is made for Matrix Online, Doom 3, Half Life 2 and San Andreas. The graphics is crystal clear.

Weakness: For those putting in weaknesses are not weaknesses at all, but minor complaints and unsatisfaction for what they own. There are no weaknesses for this card!!

I'd say, this and the 7800GT are the best cards that ever came out from Nvidia. The Geforce FX Cards were pieces of crap except the 5950 128MB DDR and 256MB DDR. Either AGP8X or PCI-E 16X, they both run great.

3DMark2001SE - 38,759

3DMark03 - 19,524

AquaMark3 - 79,842

You can't get any better than this.

eVGA GeForce 6800 GT Graphics Card

Strengths: Uncompromised 2D, DVI, and video quality. Able to run my favorites: Doom 3, Far Cry, and Half-Life 2 at 1280x1024 at high quality with AA and AF at very smooth playable framerates.

Weakness: The video card is a bit longer and GPU runs hotter than my last card. Isolated molex connector is a must.

I was a bit leery purchasing this card when I heard that there were issues with the length of the card, heat and noise compared to ATI's Radeon x800 Series. After doing a lot of research online, plus with the positive experience I had with my last card which was a eVGA 5900XT, I decided to get the eVGA 6800GT. I've been using it for a week and so far I am impressed with the performance of this card. First of all, the Enhanced Video feature along with its low CPU utilization when playing streaming media clips and movies is fantastic. The card is about 1/2 an inch longer than my previous card but I didn't have to move anything around to install it. It is as quiet as my previous card and the noise is bearable (I have a silent power supply and silent CPU fan). As for the core temperature, it does idles around 58 C and loads around 69 C, but seems to do a better job keeping my ambient temperature down so my system appears to be running cooler overall. I was also able to purchase this retail card below MSRP, but it didn't come bundled with any games or NVDVD. I did register it at eVGA.com and got an additional year of warranty (for a total of 2).

eVGA GeForce 6800 GT Graphics Card

Strengths: Amazingly Quiet operation. 256MB DDR3 Video ram, DirectX 9 support. Bundeled with Farcry and comes with Nvidia's DVD player.

Weakness: Requires at least a 350Watt Power Supply.

This is my secound Nvidia card Iv had. Before I had a Geforce 4Ti 4600 now I am getting 4X the performance than my old card. I can now run DirectX 9 compatiable games! Install was painless, took my old card out poped in the new one and hooked up the power cable to the card. Rebooted and XP loaded the drivers needed. I now can play Doom 3 at a decent Frame rates! Another plus is that this card allows you to control the fan speed with software.

eVGA GeForce 6800 GT Graphics Card

Strengths: Great graphics.

Weakness: 1 Year Warranty, No Bonuses, Requires its own Power

This card is great, but for just a little more, you can get the same card with some bonus features. First off, don't let the eVGA "Step-Up" program fool you. It sounds great, but unless you buy a new one when there is a higher model out or soon to be released, it's worthless. You only get 90 days to COMPLETE the transaction of trading in your video card for a better model. Since I bought mine recently, the deal is worthless since no new models will be on the market anytime soon. The warranty is also very weak, considering PNY gives LIFETIME warranty.

If you really don't care about the 'bonuses' the card itself does perform excellently, even under OC pressure.

One of the best, and last, AGP cards out there!

Strengths: Just look at the stats compared to the card you want to replace! Installation was painless.

Weakness: Very long card! Blocks a RAM release clip on my board. 4-pin Molex connector fits VERY TIGHT, be wary about unplugging and plugging back in a lot!

This card replaced a 9800 Pro so I could prolong the life of my aging 865PE system for another year or two. It greatly increases performance in every game I own except BF2, where although I could up all my settings to High (with 2x AA, no AF) I had to drop texture settings down to Medium due to slow performance. However, for one game it's not worth RMAing this for something else. Probably a driver problem.

System Stats (for comparison):
ASUS P4P800 Deluxe (1009 BIOS)
Intel P4 3.0E Prescott 478-pin
1 GB (256 x 4) Crucial PC3200 RAM
WD 80 GB Primary, Maxtor 30 GB Secondary
eVGA 6800GT
SB Audigy 2 OEM
350 watt Antec PSU in an Antex SX case
