Doom 3(PC)

Strengths: Everthing About the game is extremely, ridiclously, & Geniously unique, intense, dramatic, realistic, powerful, evil, dark, seriously interesting,(to me it is, i don't care what people say) & feroious.

Weakness: Nothing.(Reminds me just like Doom, Doom 2, & also Final Doom)Just diverse story, overwhelmingly enhanced & improved graphics, different sound effects & music, & same but, changed enemy look.Kind of.

Doom 3 is a interesting & brutal game w/ extremely lots of digusting, disturbing, evil, violent, aggressive, choatic, & a massive a lot, extremely a lot of blood & gore.(in a good way) The story is diverse, unique intense, compelling, forceful & powerful, I can get into it & be seriously interested in the plotline, the dialogue, & everything about it.(in my opinion) I have a lot a lot a lot of patience & an open-mind w/the things that go on in this game, but, in a different way. Just!!! the weapons are the same which is good, I'm glad, & happy about.(memories & they didn't change)But, they're two new weapons in the game; which are the machine gun - w/one standard automatic unchangeable firing mode & holds 60 machine bullets in "one clip" & is very fast, accurate(only if you shoot it & hold the first mouse button down for a little bit but, just easily keep your reticle on the enemy & let go again, or you can hold it down but, that would make it inaccurate but, you can still hit the enemy really easily as long as you try hard to keep your reticle on the enemy) you can see how much ammo in total you have; on the back of the gun in front of you on the right side & ammo in the clip on the left side first numbers which is '60' or whatevers in the remaining clip, the reloading is fine w/me doesn't bother me, & finally a damaging gun or weapon. A lot of first person shooter games I've play'd the reloading time doesn't um, annoy me, or frustrates me, or pisses me off, if I'm in a hurry to shoot something or an enemy, I just don't mind it at all.(I just wait for it to reload & that's it. Over with! - realistic. I love how FPS games has that. It makes it more, what I just said, realistic, & naturally real-life how you have to do that) I'm sorry if I rambled on for too long or got you bored but, anyway. And, the other weapon or the second one is the "Soul Cube" Which I have never got yet, but, I've read about it, & etc.(I hope it's powerful, brutal, & also ridiculously effective) The whole game is perfectly, interestingly, & extraordinarily made, for a new, fresh, original, unique, diverse, & also dark experiences/game.(The next or another story installment for the series) Completely on it's own or whatever years after "Final Doom", I think I don't know. Anyway, the story, graphics, sound effects, music, script or dialogue, level design, atmosphere, levels you go through, or stages, the weapons, the way the game looks; shadows, lightning, particle effects, etc etc etc, the movement of the game, & the controls are responsive(to me in my opinion.), nothing wrong w/it, never complained at all, & I never do, & it's fine w/me, the way the interface or HUD looks - extremely, ridiculously, & geniously easy, quick, responsive, & precise, the mood, the darkness, & the evilness of the game, the gameplay is fine w/me doesn't botter me(I'm not a snobb, but, maybe a little picky about certain games I "want" to love so much, get into, or be interested in, etc) Etc., Just everything about this game "DOOM 3" is Extremely amazing, ridiculously unblieveable, & Geniously incredible.(And, any other thing I said about it, above!!!) Do anything you want to do, It's up to you if you want to buy it, I don't care what you do.(or; if you don't care about it(Doom 3), your not interested in it, not your kind of game,(or whatever the case may be), don't want to play it or don't want to have it or don't want to buy it, don't want to keep it, you want to sell it, trade it in, etc. Whatever, you desperately want to do, doesn't matter in your own personal opinion, of what you think about the game(DOOM 3). You got details about it of what you saw or of what you've read, or etc.(or, anywhere else or anything else, where you got information about the game or where you got information, specifications, aspects, & etc about the game from) Conclusion & Overall I love it a lot, really a lot, extremely a lot, & so much.

Strengths: Great graphics and sound

Weakness: Can be redundant and what's with the flashlight.

Got this game last week runing it on ATI Radeon 9800Pro, Graphic is awesome, can't say enough about it, Sound is amazing on my Logitec Z640s..the sound is what makes everything so scary.

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: The prettiest game released to date. Unbelievable texture, lighting and shadow effects. Very creepy in appropriate places. Strong atmosphere that consists of gloom, gloom and more gloom.

Weakness: Extremely simple AI (they charge at you and that's pretty much it), and a lot of 'boo' gimmicks. Gameplay gets pretty boring after a while.

this game marks the beginning of the next wave of FPS titles. Believe everything you've heard about the graphics, as they are beyond anything that's been seen before. Lights cast realistic shadows, and everything looks metallic and shines with specular highlights. The character models look far more complex than they are due to normal mapping, at the results are impressive. You can see the subtle wrinkles of a tech's shirt or the rugged complexion of the scientist in charge of the station. Even the mouths are detailed enough to convincingly mime the words you hear them saying.

But.....

Also believe what you hear about the system needed to enjoy this game to it's fullest. I'm running a 2 gig AMD with 512 RAM and a Radeon 9800 pro, and my average framerate at 1024x768, medium detail is 30 FPS. While this is still playable, the framerate often dips down into the sigle digits, especially when the monster bashing starts.

The gameplay is frustrating and almost shamefully underdeveloped, unfortunately. The first few levels are tense and exciting. I'm not sure what happened after this, but the rest of the game is almost a chore to get through. Sure, it looks great, but the images can't compensate for the limp design. The entire game consists of walking into a room, being jumped by two or three demons, and continuing on. In the right setting, this style of play can work (as it does in Painkiller), but here it wears out its welcome far too quickly and seems lazy. So much of the game feels like a summer blockbuster: pretty to look at, but nothing under the hood.

Despite these shortcomings however, this game is very effective as a preview of what's to come in the next few years. Doom 3 itself may not have the greatest gameplay, but as a technical demo for how future releases will look and sound, it's worth picking up, if your computer is worthy.

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Highly detailed graphics, good scary atmosphere, original soundtrack - again made by Nine inch nails. The new engine looks great, shadows and lightning are very complex and look more reallife.

Weakness: Not much improved artificial intelligence.

DOOM III has a single player as well as a multiplayer environment. Sound has been upgraded to 5.1 Surround. You can see the impact of shots on the enemy bodies. If you hit the opponent in the shoulder you can see a shotwound on the shoulder. Enemies can hide in dark places and wait for you to come close.

Although its a remake of DOOM I, it looks like a new game.

I have seen the latest beta running (from E3 - 2004) in real life. I also have played around with it for a while. It ran very well on a system equiped with a P4-3GHz, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB and 1024MB of RAM. On a system with lower specs (Radeon 9700 Pro and AMD XP 2400+) it ran very well but not as good as the first system. So you will need a hefty system to get the best out of this game. I will certainly buy it, DOOM I and DOOM II scared the hell out of me and DOOM III will do that even better!

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Amazing graphics, tonnes of detail - my 64mb geforce can barley run it i had to turn off shadows and set to lowest res. Sound is also great with all sorts of sounds that will scare you - crank it up!

Weakness: Gameplay is the same as old doom. walk around getting acesss to levels, monsters get predicatble like they always come behind you when going for medkits and stuff like that.

I finished it today and i loved it. I can't get over how great this game looks specially in the delta labs and beyond. As for the flashlight issue, go to download.com and search for doom 3 mods in downloads section and get the flashlight pk4 file and put it in your doom directory. You get a flashlight on your guns it works great even though it's not as bright as the hand held one.

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Great Graphics, Cool shadowing

Weakness: graphics are too good for its own good, low replay value

this isnt really a great game. its just a good game. But they they went too far with the graphics. if you don't meet the the recommended requirements, don't get it, or get a new computer cause it will lag like heck. even on my dell dimension 8300 it will lag with like 5 monsters with the graphics all thhe way down. wouldn't recommen buying this till it gets bellow $40.

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Great graphics

Weakness: Having to alternate between the flashlight and weapons and high system requirements to truely enjoy the game. The A.I. isn't that great.

Doom 3 is a game with great graphics but the game play is lacking. The environment is very dark but you can't use your flashlight and weapons at the same time. To enjoy the great graphics you need a great computer. I have an ATI AIW 9800 Pro,512mb of PC2700, SB Audigy, Asus P4S533 and a P4 1.6 and it doesn't seem to be enough for this game. Must upgrade soon.

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: OK It's Doom, even the old one's make me jump....sometimes; great graphics, great physics (not as good as HL2 but i played the beta and theyre pretty damn good), new...well lots of new stuff

Weakness: not as good as physics as HL2, high system requirements (or so it SEEMS)

Ok so first off Doom is one of the greatest FPS's right? So why the hell wouldn't this one be as groundbreaking? Some of you complain about it being some crappy game being pumped out by id (btw thats a word, doesnt stand for anything) which is a complete waste of our team reading it BECAUSE it isnt even released yet. Also, without Doom, there wouldnt be half as many good FPS' out there...though games like Morrowind etc would be thanks to the Ultima underground franchise, though i doubt that would inspire such awesome FPS' asthe Quake series (some oldies) or Half Life (yes it was stated in an interview that they played Doom, then Quake and wanted to do something like that.) Now, there do seem to be SOME drawbacks, but who the hell cares? It's Doom 3! I bought a new vid card, another hd, and a new processor just so that I'll be able to play it (and HL2 of course). But seriously some of you people who complain about it not lookoing that great or having crap-physics....well i played the beta, the physics rock (again not as good as HL2's) and just simply it's going to be one of those games that will be remembered in years to come. You remember Doom and Doom 2....

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Doom 3's strength is that its engine has terrific graphics and the game is truly terrifying when zombies attack you from the dark or imps come out of nowhere.

Weakness: one of Doom 3's weaknesses is that it's too dark and it get annoying when you have to switch from your flashlight to your machingun or pistol. The only way to make not annoying is to got duct tape mod from ducttape.glenmurphy.com

The game is a must play and with a GeForce 6800 ultra and 7.1 creative gigaworks its even better. The graphics are totally out of this world and if you play it with your HUD turned off and alone at night you will truly experience the feeling of terror.

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: I have never played DOOM3 so I'm not going to comment on any aspects of the gameplay itself. The graphics, however, look absolutely astonishing.

Weakness: From what I can tell in the trailers and reviews, along with other research I have done on this game, I think the physics and world interactivity won't be quite as ground-breaking as those of HL2.

First of all, those of you who want to trash-talk id and John Carmack close the pie hole, because you obviously dont know what you are talking about. What you dont know is that every best selling FPS game for the last 10 years has been built on id technology. Most of the 3D shooter games ever created have been built directly on id gaming engines. Half-Life, for example was Built on the Quake 2 Engine.

Without ID, we'd still be in the Stone Age of computer games, and there would be no half life or half life 2. (At least not yet-and yes i know valve has developed their own engine for halflife2). Those who would like to compare HL2 and DOOM3 you might as well compare Morgan Freeman to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Half-Life 2 is going to be all about intense, story-driven action, while Doom3 is going to just scare the living $#!T out of you.

When i found out about half-life 2 and Doom3 i was ecstatic. When i saw the screenshots i said "I need to upgrade." I built my machine specifically for these two games, so they better be good :)

No doubt I will buy both games, and me and these two games are going to get to know eachother Verrrry well...

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Technological marvel, great level design

Weakness: Extremely hardware intensive

I've been to QuakeCon, and played the MP demo of the game. The graphics is AMAZING, even at 640 x 480 pixels with no AA or AF. Seriously, the game looks much better in motion than in static screenshots: the hard shadows seem softer, and the jarring polygon edges become unnoticeable. For me, no other game on the horizon can parallel DOOM 3 in terms of graphics. It looks as if Carmack has implemented a great load of ARB2 (OpenGL 2.0) features for the game since last year's QuakeCon. The current build is almost a whole new GENERATION beyond the leaked alpha build.

One great thing I notice when playing the MP demo is its impressive fracturing-glass physics. The glass in the game breaks differently everytime you shoot at it, and it's not random at all. Everything from the size of individual glass fragments to the area affected by the impact to the extent of cracks formed, are determined internally by the physics engine. As such, there's some truly complicated calculations going on here, and that's why the framerates get bogged down rather drastically when you starting spraying bullets at glass panes in the MP demo. And don't forget the dynamic per-pixel cubemapping on moving glass fragments, the shadows they cast, as well as their effects on the calculations of sound resonance and velocity differences in sound waves...

Now look at this and imagine it in motion: planetdoom.com/images/...
You won't find any other game monster that looks as good.

Strengths: Great Graphics and awsome affects.

Weakness: High system specs for some people.

For all the people who said that it only has 3 monsters and stuff should go f@#k themselves because they hadent even played it yet who knows a year befor the game is out.
Anyway very good game quite repetitive but still fun.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for doom fans

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Everything I enjoy in a Doom game

Weakness: None as far as I am concerned.

I can understand why some people would have problems with things like the flashlight but you can fix that with increasing the brightness, so big deal plus it was brighter it would not feel like Doom. Another thing people say is that it is repetitive, well if you look at most any game and they generally the same way, not all but most are. But people are entitled to their opinion and so am I. I have not finished it yet but I love the game and style it brings. Great Job ID!

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: BEST GRAPHICS,VIOLENCE AND MOST NIGHTMARISH GAME TO COME

Weakness: HIGHLY REQUIRED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Doom 3--it lives up to its name and you wouldn'twant it any other way.due to the use of the best 3d engine this title has got the best graphics, monsters and blood-soaked levels in it.the level is also pretty brainstorming.doom3 takes place on mars.pretty ingenius, hell in outer space.if you have seen the doom 3 video,i,m sure you would have been impressed by that demon in the bathroom sucking the blood out of that dead zombie and that skull guy(who the hell is he?)is pretty nightmarish too.the new imp and soldier make doom 3 what it is.the weapons are good along with that chainsaw and machinegun.speaking of chainsaw, that chainsaw zombie really stands out,so do those upside down spider thingys and lost souls.but all these monsters are minors in doom1 and 2.what about those monstorous aliens like that mancubus, cyberdemons, cacodemons and those biiiiig spider monsters.i bet those would really stand out in doom3.overall this is a pretty good gam...what am i saying?this is so far one of the best games i have seen.

This list of reviews (and reviewers) is ABSURD.

The game is MONTHS AWAY from being released.

HOW CAN YOU CRITIQUE/PRAISE A GAME THAT DOESN'T EXIST?

Some choice quotes from these reviews-

"Carmack should be fired for releasing this..." Releasing what? HE HASN'T RELEASED ANYTHING.

"Doom3 - it lives up to its name" HOW WOULD YOU KNOW?

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Doom 3 engine

Weakness: Makes gamers non-stop playing it over and over again

This will be a great game of the year, I have play the old times Doom before, and I just can't believe there's a big difference from Doom 3 to the 1st Doom game. Range from Graphics to Sound, Level design, character design and the physics that is being use in the game, the break through is the realistic of physics that is being produce from the Doom 3 engine. It is just remarkable. There's no games can be level with this one. Ignore what other people said, they are just jealous of it and want to say bad things about the game to ruin ID software's reputation. So ignore that so called "JJ555289" from WA. That guy doesn't know anything. I just can't believe he would use "half-life" to compare with a game that has a cutting edge technology. No offense but Hey! I mean this is a free country, people can say anything they want, but people got to think before they speak......otherwise it would make theirselves look pathetic. ID team is always the pioneer of 3D first player shooting games, other company that makes the same thing is just following ID's foot step. As I remember, the last great technology that ID has develop is the Quake3 technology, "great lightning effects". Titles that is produce by this technology like Quake 3, Quake 3 Team Arena, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Medal of Honor-Allied Assault(EA Games), I mean these are some of the best selling titles out in the market in the last couple years. Agree, ja? Got to give ID team credits for their hardwork in all these yrs.

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: The name it self

Weakness: Im sure theres none

I.D. Has a lot of crediblity when it comes to "Doom". Everybody that has written a comment I see, is complaining about the price ($59.99). Well, im sure you will not be disappointed when you get to play the game; the money won't be a factor when your spending countless hours enjoying your self. When i first played "Doom", I fell in love with the game; I thought I.D. was ahead of there time with the release of "DooM". Imagin now with the technology we have, how good the game is going to be. So quit complaining, go and get the game...Im sure you will not be wasting your money.

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: very good graphics, good level design, nice detailed characters, scary atmosphere and good storeline.

Weakness: Slow gameplay, not enough interactivity, I don't think the physics system will be as good as in Half Life 2 and it doesn't seen to have any gameplay innovations.

I am positive that Doom 3 will be one of the best games on the market when it hits the shelves sometime in 2004, and it's already on my most have list along with some other games like (Max Payne 2, Half life 2, Painkiller and Driver 3). I am for sure going to buy Doom 3 because it's simply going to be an excelent game, I have no doubt about that. It's graphics are just astouning and inmersive. Of course graphics aren't everything in a game but that has been the strongest point of Doom 3 so far. I would very much like Doom 3 to be strong in every aspect especialy the gameplay. Id software never disapointed me so Doom 3 will probably be one of the most remarkeble games in the history once is out and I happy to notice that Id has been taking their time creating this title which means that Doom 3 is gonna be refined enough for serious gamers that appreciate well done games.

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: lotsa Zombies

Weakness: Zombies scare me

I love this game...I know because I've played it! You guys did know there is an unofficial 3 level DOOM 3 demo that got leaked from id about 6 months ago! Just go to a search engine like ask.com or google.com an search on doom or doom 3 demo or doom 3 beta...It is a BETA and is a bit rough but hey 3 levels of DOOM 3 are better than none. When you get the demo started before you hit play you have to access the console (~ key) then you have to type execrunact.cfg. It takes about 5 minutes to load everything then type map e3/e3_1 or map e3/e3_2 or map e3/e3_3 depending on which level you want to play. Level 1 is mostly zombies and a huge surprise..Level 2 is demons an some crazy guy with tenticals for arms. Level three is...well I'just let you find out. Since it is a Beta you have to put up with things like getting kicked out for firing the rocket launcher or shooting the shotgun to rapidly. I don't know why you guys are comparing Halflife 2 and Doom 3..One is Aliens and One is Demons...Is there any doubt you'll buy both? I know I will! Any questions e-mail me at gjaagular@aol.com Happy Hunting... I'm out

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Its doom

Weakness: none

doom III looks sweet. its gonna be one of the 3 big to come out not too far into teh future.
Its not gonna be better than Half life 2 though. I would rate the 3 big as following.

1 Half Life 2
2 Doom 3
3 Max Payne 2

Screw quake 4. Its nothing but a doom clone. These are the ones im gonna buy. Doom 3 looses to hl2 cause hl2 is valve and what theyve done with theire engine rox.. alot..
doom 3 looks like shiny graphs and scary gameplay, witch is nothing new. But still its gonna be good cause its doom.

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: State-of-the Art graphics and effects. Scary.

Weakness: Dull script. Frustrating gameplay. Too much un-needed junk storyline and short on the actual gameplay and fun factor.

I spent most of my time walking around wasting time looking for the next location as the game directs. The script is dull and painful to replay. Truly a scary experience meeting up with zombies in the dark but that's about it. I would not recommend it nor would I have bought it if I had known. Glitzy, but not entertaining. Wandering in the dark not terribly entertaining. Low fun-factor. I hope more mods and patches roll out to make it the kind of game U get addicted to as it should be. It needs a mini-map - position locator on the screen for sure which it lacks. Try the top-rated war / soldier themed games instead. I can't mention which ones on this forum.
Sincerely.... = MEAT =

with all the time id spent making this crap you'd think thay would have made a realy good game. but all the hype is utter crap. after the initial release it went 2 months before making an expantion to "STEAL" half life 2's gravity gun and why even try, thay dont even have any interactivity with the world around you other than barrels....yes only barrels....same old crap with a new face...so after running back an forth through the same map 5 times in the same level you will get my point as to why this will never make game of the year..... and as you all probibly now see no one wants to mod it cause theres no point when you have a real game to mod ie.HALF LIFE 2 ...GET A CLUE...... PEACE OUT FOOLS...

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Great graphics as good as Half life 2 and you dont have to buy the most expensive video cards to play. Great plot, great ending has everything an excellent game has to offer

Weakness: no weaknesses excellent in every way

This is the best game I have played by far.I have Hl, Hl2,far cry , Halo, unreal , etc.. but after finishing Half life 2 which only took a week of spare time. I went back to play another round of Doom 3 on the nightmare mode that is unlocked after you go all the way through the game the first time. A very cool feature of the game. unlike HL2 this game has a very nice plot great graphics, and many surprises and spooky . I want to see more games like this one . This IMHO should be rated game of the year 2004!

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Best physics, graphics and sound (compared to a crappy game: Half-Life 2 :p ). It will be out soon!!

Weakness: Not a very elaborate story (demons are unleashed and u, must kill'em) High system requirements. Im sure u guys dont want to buy a new PC to play doom 3 (the game would cost 2500$)

DOOM 3 is the successor of the world's best shooter, doom.
Doom was the best game ever created, and even today, most of the fps creators can even dream of creating a game that good.
Half-Life 2 looks sweet, but its not by looking at a screenshot that we can say its better than doom3 or not.
Doom3 will feature many monsters (approximately 14) and lots of weapons, including the BFG9000K, a chainsaw and other weapons from the 1st and 2nd doom, as well as new guns.
Doom3 has high chances to be better than hl2 since it will come out after hl2, so the developers will have time to make their game to be better than hl2.
And a game that took 8 years to create will be better than a game that took 3 years to create.
But we will se the final result when those 2 games will come out (Half-Life 2: September - Doom 3: June/July).
-Far Cry sucks: weapons of counter-strike, VERY stupid enemies. Its not because a game has good graphics that its a good game. DONT BUY IT!!!

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: THE BEST SHOOTING GAME IN THE WORLD!!!

Weakness: N\A

Ever since i bought the very first DOOM game i was amazed at the graphics that had back then PLUS the music by Bobby Prince was fantastic! Now I think DOOM III is going to freak everyone and the sound FX is like Real life!!!

P.S. The price for this game is $59.00

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Great graphics , Great gameplay , Great valu , Great ....

Weakness: Super Duper PC needed , you will hardly see your weapon because of the dark , weak sound

well its here , DOOM the 3 rd or DOOM 3 ( whatever ) . to be honest i did not play the 1 st & 2 nd DOOM , i just hear form my friends about it & how cool it is . i play it with Ge Force 5900 U Pentium 4 2.4 all video high & resolution 1024*768 . it runs smooth & good , game play is a kinda weird !!? monsters pop up from dark zones & all they do is smash your head ( its looks like its a Search & distroy misson to them =] ) your health drop really high ( hard difficulty , have to switch to easy =I ) , sound is weak such as weapons fire & monsters yell ( zombie yell reminds me of Resident Evil =I ) . finely the graphics , its so cool so that i have to walk around the base & enjoy the view .

done !!
** note : did not try multi-player mode !!?

Activision Doom 3

Strengths: Ok, the game has good graphics, Thats about the only high point of the game.

Weakness: Only 3 monsters, SINGLE PLAYER ONLY, REMAKE of a doom with new graphics? STUPID!!! john carmack sucks i lost all respect after this crappy title!

John carmack should be fired for releasing a game like this, all he added was new graphics he is a washed up bum trying to get out 1 more release before his career ends, 6 years to make this crappy game with nothing new at all, well besides the graphics.

Could have been perfect if...

Strengths: Ambient, graphics, sound

Weakness: AI, monsters appearing randomly

This game would be perfect if it was called Alien. In fact the ambiant is just like an Alien movie, futuristic environment, blinking lights, strange noises, screams, dark, I've never played a game with such an ambient.
The only thing I don't like is that the monsters appear anywhere anytime (well it's not random, it's ine the script) and the only thing they do is jumping at your face, no tactics, even the marines are dumb so it's not very fun to play.
This game would be perfect with intelligent creatures that are coming from somewhere, with commandos raid, just like in Aliens VS Predator when you play with the Humans.

Not at all hype

Strengths: A single obviouse one GRAPHICS. Complexity and creativity in environment. Scary, hard to stop playing.

Weakness: NONE ( if you are expecting excessive action then this isnt for you ).

Considering the overwhelming graphics it is important that people know that you need at least a $1300 system to completely utalize Doom 3. If you are the kind of person that loves to get scared, then stop reading this and buy the game. Because nothing will give you the "whats around the corner" creeps more than this. The graphics at full are absolutely hypnotic, that paired with 2 good speakers and the lights out you will forget you are sitting in the comfort of you own home. And a note for parents with kids: Unless you ENJOY waking up to the sound of your kids having nightmares,DONT let them play this!

DOOM 3

Man, I can’t tell you how excited I was to pick up and get to review Doom 3. Anyone who has read my bio will know that I am a fanatic about FPS titles, and have played the best to the worst of them all. I especially enjoy run and gun style FPS titles, and my entire love for these games were spawned back in 1994 when I sat down at a friend’s house and played the original Doom by id Software....

Critical review of Doom 3

I scream. You scream. We all scream for Doom 3. Ah yes, Doom 3. The game toting the name that made it a smash hit before anyone laid eyes on a single screen shot. John C. and company knew they had a gold mine on their hands with their next installation of the legendary Doom series, they just had to wait for the right time to jump on it. Once the first set of screen shots was released, Doom 3 had...

DOOM 3

DOOM 3 is a great game. Not necessarily for the gameplay aspects, but for the fact that my eyes and ears never went a moment without being completely entertained. DOOM 3 is extremely immersive with about as perfect a presentation as I've ever seen in a game. Visually, it has no peer at the moment. Even Far Cry's impressive vistas and wonderful environments can't stand up to the artistic and...

Doom 3

DOOM 3 is a terrifying SCI-FI horror game experience. It is not recommended for the cowardly or the faint of heart. However, for those who dare to face DOOM 3 as it was intended; lock your door, turn off the lights, and turn up your sound.
