Reviews for Asus VW266H Black 25.5 Widescreen LCD Monitor1920x1080, 2ms, DVI, HDMI - MPN: VW266H
By anonymous - Jan 4, 2010
Great MonitorStrengths: Wide screen. Can review documents at 100% side by side. Decent sound, but not theatre quality. DVD movies display nicely. Pretty good viewing angle. Weakness: For the price, I can think of none. I bought this for work and I'm thinking of getting one for home. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Not Bad for The Price
Strengths: Its huge, makes my Samsung 21" 215TW look small. It does look nice. Provantage double packed the monitor, bonus! Arrived in one piece with no dead/stuck pixels ... YIPPIE!!
Weakness: I would say that my Samsung 21" 215TW is a much better monitor but this is a lower end monitor. So, no cons really, does require a bit of tinkering. Once set to your liking its really not that bad.
For a TN panel the viewing angles are not to bad and backlight bleeding can hardly be noticed once you set it up.
For me I set standard mode to ... brightness=15, contrast=65 and sharpness=45. Also, if you set color temp to USER and set Red=85, Green=75 and blue=62 you'll see that it looks pretty good (the blue tint is gone). Then I just set the other modes for viewing HD movies. If you want perfect you'll need to spend well over 600.00.
