The Little PC That Could...Strengths: Small footprint, big 9" screen, 20GB solid state HDD Weakness: Short battery life ~ 2 hours; runs hot This is a big step up from last year's model. The screen is 2 inches larger. All the essential programs you need are here: skype, firefox, webcam, games, chat. A great product that is ready to use out of the box. I was surprised to find a nice carrying case included in the box. This saved me from having to hunt down one that would fit such a small laptop 83% of readers found this review helpful. A Great PC "TO GO"Strengths: Small, 20GB Hard Drive, Cute, Works Good!! Weakness: Linux I bought this computer about 3 weeks ago, the main use for it was for traveling and It works really good, so now, that I have to send my 17" Laptop for a repair, this will be a great substitute this time. I change it to Windows XP, it starts up fast, and I got use to the small keybord really fast, the screen has a really good size 8.9", you can see complete internet pages, the wireless and web cam are great too, and for travleing, the Size is Perfect!!! you have everything in a really small device. I'm really happy with it. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Asus Eee PC 900 (white)
THE GOOD: Bigger screen in same small package; new touch pad gesture controls; long battery life. THE BAD: Not as much storage space as the Linux version; same old Celeron CPU as original Eee PC; keyboard just as cramped. THE BOTTOM LINE: The 9-inch Asus Eee PC 900 adds a bigger screen and a larger capacity solid-state hard drive than its 7-inch precursor, but the new price has passed the point... Top

To buy or not to buy that is the question (here).
Strengths: small, white, sexy, linux os,quicky start up,long lasting battery (3.45hrs) etc.
Weakness: the keys a little small, linux os, gets slow after re-install the Linux OS
from a scale of 5 i will give this notebook a 4. first of all the thing is really cool and sexy because it is pearl white and it starts up in 20 seconds because it operates on Linux as oppose to windows where it will take at least a min. to start the window and wait for the pop-ups to load. In this Linux OS you basically hit the power up button and wait a little and there you are everything is really to run and do your operation. as for the battery life my usual usage without power cable is 3hrs and 45 mins and basically how i achieved this is lower the light to as dim as possible, BUT the wifi and music is still on.
As for the cons for this notebook well the key is a little small so if you can run to a computer store and feel it before buying it and see if it fits to your liking. and if you have been using Windows for really long like me it can be a bit hard to get use to this OS because it DOES NOT run window .exe like you use to click and install, but if you are willing to learn Linux can be your future love of machine as it the Linux OS is customizable and sexy in its own unique way, so if you want to move to something that is not windows related yet (might) better OS give this a run.
also for some reason it got a little slow since i try to install XP os (fail due to bad window CD) i re-installed Linux and now it takes like 2-3 seconds in order to load up the program(but still faster than windows do :).
so in conclusion if you want this machine go and try it out personally before buying and 2, go for this if you want to get to know Linux better because this notebook is pretty basic and easy to use.
