One of the Best 26" Monitor!
Strengths: Excellent picture and clear text. The same IPS panel (LG Philips LM260WU1) as NEC 2690WUXi, but several hundred dollars cheaper. Pretty much no lags, less than 2ms, which is good for gaming.
Weakness: The display takes about 30 seconds to detect inputs every time I turn on the monitor. Cons for some people due to lack of inputs (1xDVI and 1xVGA).
Planar customer service is excellent. The first monitor I received had 1 stuck pixel, I called Planar customer service for replacement and they shipped another brand new one to me right away; I received the replacement 2 days after I called and it's no charge!

Same great display as NEC 2690 -- for more than a third less...
Strengths: Sharpness, color accuracy, viewing angle, built quality.
Weakness: None so far.
Am really happy with this monitor. I almost ordered myself the $1,600 NEC 2690, but then someone turned my attention to this brand, Planar, a company which have been in the monitor business (industrial and medical) for decades. The panel is the same LG-Philips H-IPS panel, which is known as the best for sharpness and accurate colors.
It's really a great product for a great price!

Planar PX2611W
THE GOOD: The Planar PX2611ws IPS panel allows for wide viewing angles. Also, its color accuracy when viewing photos is stellar and it includes multiple USB ports. THE BAD: The Planar PX2611w doesnt have HDMI support and has a bulky and heavy design THE BOTTOM LINE: Priced at $800, the Planar PX2611w should only be considered by professionals who require an IPS-based panel.
