A great tool for those of us who lack good organization or are tired of constantly having to update their CD-Storage list. In my case - half the time it doesn't get done. The CD's wait around on my desktop or the top of my computer, and often end up in a box when I do a clean-sweep of my desk because I have a meeting and want to look organized.
Within 5 minutes of opening the box, I had the KDS CD Organizer and software up an running. The software is what really makes this package worthwhile. Once you have read in your CD's using your computer's CD drive, you have a full list of all your CD's (up to 75 per tower unit), including all directories and files.
The software provides 5 configurable windows that hold a wealth of information:
Window 1. An Explorer-like Folder and Tower list. You can add folders and subfolders to this list to categorize CD's in any convenient fashion. There are default folders for "All Disks"; "Deleted Disks"; "Find Results" and "My Favorites".
Folders are not tower specific. In other words, If you have more than one Organizer Tower, items stored in folders may be in different towers.
Window 2. The main window that shows the results of the Folder or Tower you have selected on the left. Columns show "Disk Title", "Status" (In or Out of drawer), "Tower/Tray" (indicates Tower and Tray numbers), and "Type" (whether it is a music or data disk).
