I have built 12 Shuttle XPC...

Strengths: Quiet system, small, easy to assemble. 6 USB ports (2 front, 4 back). Stylish, all-aluminum case.

Weakness: Motherboard makes faint noise when mouse is scrolling -- this was fixed in the SB61G2 v3 model, which also has the more powerful 250w P.S. (this is 200w) and Prescott support (stick with Northwood!).

I have built 12 Shuttle XPC systems over the years and each model has seen improvements. The SB61G2 has been revamped with v3; make sure to purchase this model if looking. Shuttle continues to make the best...

Strengths: Thoughtful design and great aesthetics, 8X AGP video port, integrated USB2.0, Firewire 400, six channel audio, native SATA support, quiet power supply.

Weakness: Only one PCI expansion slot.

Shuttle continues to make the best small form factor boxes around. This is my first shuttle box, and I would highly recommend it. The full set of integrated ports points toward a very thoughtful design. Shuttle's attention to detail is evident in the convenient clips to route your cables for optimal air flow. If you're looking for a mini barebone system, look no further.
